As a bilingual (Spanish-English), bicultural Latina woman, I understand the importance of feeling heard, understood, and welcomed in a therapeutic space that embraces diversity. Being able to provide a culturally sensitive space for my clients is imperative for me as a therapist because I understand that cultural backgrounds and generational factors play a role on our mental health.
Life gets hard, challenging, and overwhelming. Therefore, having someone that provides a
nonjudgmental space and who embraces all of who we are to talk, discuss, and process our
mental health concerns makes a huge difference in the healing process.
I graduated with my Master of Social Work in May 2023 from the Metropolitan State University
of Denver. I am a Clinical Social Work Candidate and prior to obtaining my masters I worked in
the mental health world for 4 years. I have extensive experience working with the Latinx
community, including immigrant and vulnerable populations. I enjoy working with young adults,
first generation college students of color, LGBTQIA+ community, older adults, and parents.
I have experience working with individuals who have anxiety, depression, trauma,
intergenerational issues, interpersonal issues, and others. I like helping clients navigate and
understand their emotions in a nonjudgmental way. I have an outgoing, kind and understanding personality and like to use that to connect and build rapport with my clients. I use person-centered and strength-based approach to help clients find their own strength, their own voice, and with a strong therapeutic alliance, together, work towards healing one step at a time.
